I am always amazed but never surprised when I hear stories about basketball parents and the antics they pull.

This is to be filed under OHNOHEDIDNENT:

A Dad let his unhappiness with the tickets he received to a college game(they weren’t behind the bench) be known to anyone that would listen.  He was also miffed at the perceived lack of attention to his young daughter(who was not a recruit) by the coaches, so now he is running around bad mouthing the school and coaching staff and letting everyone know that is kid will never go to that college.  Mind you she isn’t being recruited by the college or anyone in their conference. Wait..it gets worse…How about the parent who has been calling around to top ranked colleges(not just calling.. bombarding with emails and texts) claiming that his daughter is the best player at her position in her class.  Then he puts the word out on the street that several major DI schools have made them offers.  Funny thing is that one off the schools that he is claiming has made no offers in that class to even their top recruits. If this guy only knew the damage he is doing to his kids chances of playing college basketball at any level…coaches talk and believe me this dude already is known as a nut job.
